Court orders compensation payment for NRI killed in accident
New Delhi, Jul 31 (UNI) A city court today ordered the owner and driver of a tractor to pay a compensation of Rs 1,14,40,000 to an NRI who was killed in an accident near Gurgaon in 2000.
Rajesh Kshetrapal, who was working as a Master in a Hong Kong-based shipping company, had met with an accident on November 19, 2000, while returning from Gurgaon. His car was hit by the tractor near Sushant Lok, Gurgaon.
The deceased is survived by wife, parents and two children.
The court ordered the owner of the tractor Mohd Shahid and driver Mohd Hanif, to pay the compensation amount, as the tractor was not insured.
