Swayze returns to work after 'miracle' recovery

London, July 30 : Actor Patrick Swayze has resumed shooting for the TV drama series The Beast, in which he plays an unorthodox FBI agent.

The 55-year-old star, who has dubbed himself a 'miracle dude' with the ongoing cancer recovery, was snapped smiling and joking on the set of the TV series.

The doctors allowed the 'Dirty Dancing' star to get back to work again after he responded well to hospital treatment.

Swayze had announced his condition in March amid reports that he had just five weeks to live, but has stunned everyone with his incredible recovery.

Talking about his role in the Chicago-based TV series, Swayze said that he was looking forward to such a role.

"I have searched for quite a long time to find a character that is this multi-layered, unpredictable and downright entertaining, as well as a project this current and cutting-edge," the Telegraph quoted him, as saying.
