Security increased in HP industrial areas

Shimla, Jul 30 (UNI) Security has been tightened in industrial areas of Baddi, Brotiwala and Nalagarh (BBN) in Solan district in the wake of serial blasts in Bangalore and Ahmedabad.

Solan SP S P S Verma said additional police force had been deployed in the industrial areas and security doubled around all big industrial units, hotels and other public places. Police force had also been increased at all five entry points and inspection of vehicles was being done.

Night patrolling has been increased in industrial hub Baddi, which has about 1075 industrial units, including 350 Pharma unita to avoid any untoward incident.

Mr Verma said that due to the booming-up of this township, a proposal was under consideration to create a police district at Baddi.
