Rocket launcher cell found in Jabalapur

Jabalpur, Jul 30: Panic prevailed in this cantonment town after a live cell of a 40 m m rocket launcher, which was used by the army, was found in a nullah here on Wednesday, July 30.

''After a sweeper informed about the presence of a bomb in a nullah at local Anand Nagar area, a bomb-disposal squad reached the spot and found the rocket launcher cell,'' Superintendent of Police Makarand Deoskar said here on Wednesday, July, 30. In order to defuse the cell it was sent to the Ordinanace Factory at Khamaria here.

''The origin of the cell is being investigated as it is apprehended that a scrap dealer might have abandoned it due to fear,'' he said. Following serial blasts in Ahmedabad and Bangalore, Madhya Pradesh was put on high alert and suspicious things were being thoroughly checked.
