PM discusses internal security with President

New Delhi, Jul 30 (UNI) Prime Minister Manmohan Singh today called on President Pratibha Devisingh Patil and discussed with her internal security issues, apparently the situation arising from the serial blasts in Bangalore and Ahmedabad.

During the 45-minute-long meeting at Rashtrapati Bhavan, Dr Singh also apprised the President of his forthcoming visit to Colombo to attend the summit of the South Asian Association for Regional Cooperation (SAARC), an official spokesman said.

Other issues of national and international importance also figured at the meeting, he said.
