Moderate earthquake shakes Maharashtra

New Delhi, Jul 30: A moderate earthquake measuring 4.2 on the richter scale shook Maharashtra on Tuesday, July 29 night.

The tremor took place at 0041 hrs and had its epicentre in Satara region of the state, a release issued by the India Meteorological Department said. However no immediate report of any damage was available.
