Marxists agitating for political existence, alleges CLP
Hyderbad, Jul 30 (UNI) The Andhra Pradesh Congress Legislature Party (CLP) today alleged that despite the government's several welfare programmes, the Communist Party of India (Marxist) was resorting to agitations in the State only for its political existence.
In a statement here, government Chief Whip N Kiran Kumar Reddy and government Whips S Udayabanu and D Sridhar Babu alleged that instead of supporting the government's efforts to take up several welfare and developmental schemes, the CPI(M) was obstructing the developmental activities with a political motive.
They further alleged that party State Secretary B V Raghavulu was resorting to opportunistic politics by ditching the party ideology and policies and his main agenda was to criticise state Chief Minister Y S Rajasekhara Reddy and the Congress government.
They said the Andhra Pradesh government had taken up several welfare and developmental schemes in the state than the West Bengal government and they could prove it.
The whips alleged that Mr Raghavulu was sidelining the party to implement his own agenda in the state.
