Land to SASB will not dilute Art 370: BJP

Srinagar, Jul 30 (UNI) The Bhartiya Janata Party (BJP) said that land allotment to Shri Amarnath Shrine Board (SASB) will not affect the special status to Jammu and Kashmir guaranteed under Article 370.

A press release issued here today by media secretary of the BJP said two senior leaders of the BJP, Manohar Lal and Charanjit Singh Khalsa, during their three-day tour to different parts of the valley, including Bandipora, Uri, Kulgam, Anantnag and Badgam rejected the apprehension of the people that allotment of land to the SASB might affect Art 370.

There was no connection between the two, they said.

The BJP leaders alleged that the SASB land issue was a creation of the Peoples Democratic Party and Congress for their vote bank politics.

The release said Mr Lal and Mr Singh directed the BJP workers to go door-to-door and inform the common man that the sovereignty of Kashmir will not be allowed to weaken.

Mr Lal said some people with vested interest wanted to disturb the peace by raising unfounded slogans that Kashmir was on sale.

These people just wanted to raise these slogans to disturb the centuries-old communal harmony and brotherhood among different communities.

Tell the people of Kashmir that the BJP is for peace, progress and employment to the unemployed youths, besides total literacy, the BJP leaders told their Yuva Morcha workers.
