Inculcate leadership among youth-Chief Minister

Shimla, Jul 30 (UNI) Empowering and transforming youth energy to enable them to undertake challenges efficiently is of utmost importance to build a strong and vibrant society.

This was disclosed by Chief Minister Prem Kumar Dhumal, while presiding over the closing ceremony of Youth Leadership Training Programme organized by Art of Living organization here last evening.

Mr Dhumal said that youth, particularly rural youth should be trained in a wide spectrum of activities so as to inculcate in them the qualities of leadership and commitment.

He said that youth are the future of the society, therefore efforts should be made to provide ample opportunities to them for overall personality development. He said that youth should be encouraged to take initiative with confidence besides sharing social responsibility.

He said that the ''Divya Samaj Nirman Abhiyan'' of the Art of Living, would not only help in sensitiding the village communities regarding maximum utilization and management of their natural resources, but also empower them socially and economically.

Mr Dhumal also distributed certificates to the participants of the Programme.
