Humid conditions continue in Delhi, rains to return soon

New Delhi, Jul 30 (UNI) The warm and humid weather conditions prevailing in Delhi over the last two days persisted today with the mercury staying three degrees above normal at 36.5 degrees Celsius.

With Sun continuing to shine clear and bright for the second day in succession and humidity remaining at a high level of 88 per cent, it was another day of sultry weather in the city.

Though the maximum dropped slightly, from 37.4 degrees yesterday, to 36.5 degrees, it still remained three notches above normal.

The minimum was also recorded one degree above normal at 28.3 degrees.

Some relief from humid conditions could be in offing in the coming days with the weatherman forecasting some rainfall and thundershowers in the city over the next 24 hours.

The Met office has forecast a partly cloudy sky in Delhi during the next 24 hours with possibility of rain and thundershowers in a few areas.

Also they have forecast increase in rainfall activity over the city and other parts of Northwest India during the next two to three days.

''Meteorological analysis suggests increase in rainfall activity over Northwest India from tomorrow for next 2-3 days,'' the weather office said..

After a cool weather during the weekend brought about by heavy rains, Delhi has been experiencing warm and humid weather over the last two days.
