Huge Maoist dump unearthed along Andhra-Orissa border
Hyderabad, July 30 (UNI) The Andhra Pradesh Greyhound forces today unearthed a dump of CPI(Maoist) naxals near Rallametta village of Mandasa mandal along the Andhra-Orissa Border (AOB) in Srikakulam district, aboutt 400 km from the city.
Police said the forces, combing the AOB area, found the dump in the forests. Around 60 gelatine sticks, 20 electric detonators, 34 non-electric detonators and 13 rounds of ammunition were recovered from the dump.
Combing operations were intensified in the AOB area after the Maoists attacked the Greyhounds and Orissa police, killing more than 30 cops at Balimela reservoir recently, when they boarded a mechanised boat.
