HP Govt to appoint 225 Panchayat Sahayaks

Shimla, Jul 30 (UNI) The Himachal Pradesh Government would appoint 225 Panchayat Sahayaks to ensure proper working of the Panchayat offices in the absence of Gram Panchayat seceteries.

The government has asked Panchayat Sahayaks to attend the offices where Panchayat Secretaries were not posted, a government spokesman said.

The government has also directed PRI department to ensure that Gram Panchayat office remain open from 1000 hrs to 1700 hrs.

He said that the Panchayat Pradhans had been ordered to ensure the daily attendance of Panchayat Secretary and other staff.
