Monsoon was active over Coastal Karnataka and South Interior Karnataka. Rainfall occurred at most places over Coastal Karnataka; at many places over South Interior Karnataka and at a few places over North Interior Karnataka. Heavy Rainfall amounts (cm): Bhagamandala, Agumbe 12 each; Mani, Sulya, Mangalore AP 9 each; Bantwal, Belthangadi, Subramanya 8 each; Mudibidre, Dharmasthala, Karkala, Panambur, Yellapura, Somwarpet, Sringeri, Kottigehara, Lakkavalli, Madikeri 7 each.

Other Chief amounts of rainfall (cm): Mulki, Puttur, Kollur, Kumta, Udupi, Linganamakki, Kammardi, Koppa, Madapura, Sakleshpura 6 each; Jagalbet, Siddapura (Udupi dt), Napoklu, Jayapura 5 each; Kundapur, Gerusoppa, Joida, Mangalore, Virajpet, Humchadakatte, Balehonnur, Mudigere 4 each.

Forecast valid until Friday morning: Rain/thundershowers likely to occur at most places over Coastal Karnataka and at many places over Interior Karnataka.

Farmers Weather Bulletin: Moderate to rather heavy rain likely to occur at most places over all the districts of Coastal Karnataka and over Kodagu, Chikmagalur, Shimoga and Hassan districts of South Interior Karnataka. FISHRIES WARNING: Strong onshore winds from Westerly direction speed occasionally reaching 45 to 55 kmph likely along off Karnataka coast during the 24 hours. Outlook for subsequent two days: No significant change is expected over the State. Local forecast: Generally cloudy with a few spells of rain. Surface winds will be strong and gusty at times.
