UM (UK) targets sales of 60,000 electric scooters in 2008-09
Kochi, July 29 (UNI) Electric scooter manufacturer Ultra Motor (UK) today said it had set a sales target of 60,000 units in 2008-09 with its national dealership network being increased to 275.
Speaking on the occasion of the company launching its new model Marathon, Director( Marketing), Deba Goshal said the scooter had an extra range of upto 100 km per charge.
The company was planning to launch four new products in both high speed and low speed categories, he said.
Priced at Rs.31,047/- (ex-showroom, Cochin), Marathon was primarily targeted at 24+ year olds, riding a petrol scooter or a moped and looking at economy and utility. It was also targeted at the 14-18 year olds, primarily lifestyle bicycle riders, he added.
