Trader's son rescued, three arrested

Samastipur, Jul 29 (UNI) The son of a trader, abducted by miscreants on July 12, was rescued today from the kidnappers' hideout near here.

Police said the victim Manoj Kumar(25) was earlier kidnapped by some armed miscreants from Ranchi's Ashok Nagar area last month, adding that three people have been arrested in this connection.

The kidnappers demanded a ransom of Rs 20 lakh from the victim's family, but the family members informed the police and lodged an FIR at local police station.

Later, acting on a tip- off, a team of Bihar police raided the hideout at Khesaraha village in the district and rescued Manoj from the clutches of kidnappers, sources informed.
