Timberlake, Kutcher face-off over trucker caps!

Washington, July 29 : American pop singer songwriter Justin Timberlake says he's the one responsible for making trucker caps fashionable and not Ashton Kutcher.

Timberlake, who believes that he and his William Rast fashion line partner and childhood friend Trace Ayala are the trendsetters for the caps, disagreed with Kutcher's claim of introducing the caps.

"It's funny," E!online quoted Timberlake as saying in the new issue of Fashion Rocks magazine.

"I keep hearing Ashton Kutcher say how he was responsible for trucker caps. I've heard him make that statement before.

"Trace and I were wearing them when we were seventeen," he said.

Timberlake is well on his way to becoming a fashion icon, from gracing the cover of Fashion Rocks to becoming the new face for Givenchy's men's fragrance, Play!

The SexyBack singer will also be starring in William Rast's upcoming fall ad campaign.

However being suave wasn't always how things used to be, with Timberlake remembering the time he spray-painted vintage Air Jordans and shaved images of beehives into Ayala's hair.

"We just kind of didn't care," Timberlake remembers of his fashion faux pas.

"We kind of still don't," he added.

Timberlake is one of a gaggle of superstars performing at the Fashion Rocks concert in New York City on September 5.
