Prime Minister to decide, says Sibu Soren

Ranchi, July 29 : Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM) president Sibu Soren on Tuesday said in Bokaro that the question whether he would become a Union Minister or the Chief Minister of Jharkhand will become clear after Prime Minister Manmohan Singh returns from his impending trip to Colombo.

Soren said, "Be it union minister ship or chief minister ship, everything will be decided only after the Prime Minister completes his foreign engagement."

"The party has claims on two central posts, but it will be decided only after the Prime Minister comes back," he said while refusing to comment on which of the five JMM MPs would take oath as central ministers in the Union Government.

Soren further denied media reports that he was keen to take over the mantle from Jharkhand Chief Minister Madhu Koda.

Soren's JMM had provided critical support to the United Progressive Alliance (UPA) during the July 22 confidence vote in Parliament over the Indo-US civil nuclear deal.
