Police rescue trader's son, arrest three abductors

Samastipur, Jul 29 (UNI) District police today rescued the son of a well-known trader in Ranchi, who was kidnapped from near his house on July 12.

The victim, 25 year old-Manoj kumar, son of a well-known trader of Ranchi, was kidnapped by some unidentifed armed miscreants from the city's Ashok Nagar area last month and was taken to an undisclosed place.

The kidnappers demanded a ransom of Rs 20 lakh from the trader's family. But the family informed the police and lodged an FIR at the local police station.

Later, acting on a tip-off, a team of Bihar police raided the hideout at Khesaraha village in the district and rescued Manoj from the clutches of kidnappers.

Three people, who were guarding the victim, were also arrested.
