NTPC Apr-Jun net dips 27% at Rs 1,727 cr

New Delhi, Jul 29 (UNI) State-run National Thermal Power Corporation Ltd (NTPC), the country's largest power producer, today said it has registered a 27.13 per cent decline in net profit at Rs 1,727 crore in Arpil-June 2008, as compared to Rs 2,370 crore during the corresponding period last year.

The company said its net sales stood at Rs 9,539 crore during the first quarter ended June 2008, against Rs 8,970 crore over the same period a year ago.
