Militant hideout busted in north Kashmir

Srinagar Jul 29 (UNI) Jammu and Kashmir police busted a militant hideout and recovered a large cache of arms and ammunition in north Kashmir last evening, official sources said today.

They said on a tip off, police conducted a search operation at village Hama, Bandipora, about 55 km from here in north.

During the operation a hideout was busted and a large cache of arms and ammunition including one Universal Machine Gun (UGM), one AK 47, five AK magazines, 170 rounds of ammunition, one UBGL thrower, one UBGL grenade and one pouch were recovered. However, no one was arrested, they said.
