Lucknowites opt for silent way to protest serial blasts
Lucknow, July 29 (UNI) People of the Uttar Pradesh capital today staged a ''silent protest'' to condemn the recent blasts in Bangalore and Ahmedabad.
The agitation, led by the All India United Muslim Morcha, was carried out at the GPO park here.
The people staged a demonstration by tying white strips on their mouth and remaining ''mum'' for about three hours.
The protestors also paid tributes to the blasts' victims.
Later, Morcha's president Dr M A Siddiqui said terrorism has no space in India, which gave birth to great persons like Mahatma Gandhi and Gautam Buddha.
