Yedi places supplementary estimates
Bangalore, Jul 29: Karnataka Chief Minister B S Yeddyurappa placed supplementary estimates of Rs 34.17 crore for 2008-09 in the Legislative Assembly today.
Mr Yeddyurappa, who also holds the Finance portfolio, said the estimates of Rs 34.17 crore related to advances sanctioned from the contingency funds to cover expenditure on new services and other unforeseen expenditure.
Of the total sum of Rs 34.17 crore included in the supplementary estimates, a sum of Rs 1.86 crore was covered by Central assistance, he said.
The supplementary estimates mention, among other things, a release of Rs 4.5 crore for the development of newly set up circuit benches of High Court at Dharwad and Gulbarga.
