Jai Balaji's Q1 net profit up by 96 per cent
Kolkata, Jul 29 (UNI) The Jai Balaji Industries Ltd (JBIL) notched up 96 per cent net profit at Rs 46.30 crore in the first quarter of the current fiscal against Rs 23.59 crore in the corresponding period last year.
According to a JBIL communique here today, the company's Profit Before Tax (PBT) was assesed at Rs 60.55 crore in the first quarter of FY'09, against Rs 35.79 crore in the corresponding period of the previous year, showing a growth of 69 per cent.
The Earning Per Share (EPS) had also gone upto Rs 9.82 from Rs 5.01 in the quarter on quarter basis, it added.

The firm's total income for the quarter was Rs 470.74 crore as compared to Rs 252.79 crore in the same period last year, reflecting an increase of 86 per cent.
