Groundnutseed, its oil flat, RBD palm oil declines

Mumbai, Jul 29 (UNI) Price of groundnutseed and its oil remained flat on scattered buying by stockists, while RBD palm oil fell today on sluggish demand by stockists, traders at the Bombay Commodity Exchange said.

In the oil segment (per ten kgs), cottonseed ref and sunflower exp fell by Rs 5 per ten kg each on lack of demand. Seasame expeller and rapeseed ref also declined by Rs 20 and Rs 10 per ten kg respectively on heavy selling pressure by bulk consumers.

RBD Palmolein eased by Rs 8 per ten kg on poor offtake, traders said.

Among seeds (per quintal), groundnutseed remained unchanged while nigerseed and castorseed Hyderabad edged down by Rs 200 and Rs 80 per quintal respectively amid sluggish demand by stockists.

Groundnut Bolds also slipped by Rs 25 while kardiseed rose by Rs 25 per quintal on fresh demand by dealers, traders said.

In de-oil cakes, cottonseed exp further eased by Rs 200 per Metric Tonne because of sluggish demand by bulk consumers while other cakes remained unchanged on moderate demand, traders added.
