Five cops suspended in custodial death case

Chandigarh, Jul 29 (UNI) Taking a strict view in the custodial death case at the Industrial Area police station here, the Chandigarh Police has placed under suspension five police personnal.

Those suspended include Jagir Singh, SHO of the police station.

The others are Sub Inspector Narinder Singh, head constable Joginder Singh and constables Varinder Singh and Mangat Singh, both of whom were on sentry duty last night when local resident Inderjit Singh allegedly committed suicide in police lock up.
