Court remands two cheaters to judicial custody
Patna, Jul 29 (UNI) A special court today remanded a fake CBI DSP and a fake vigilance inspector to judicial custody in a case relating to cheating and corruption.
During the day accused Prafull Kumar alias L B Singh and Sanjeet Kumar alias Pappu were produced before the designated vigilance judge after their arrest by a team of vigilance sleuths.
The judge sent them to judicial custody till August 11 next.
According the charges, the duo impersonating themselves as a CBI DSP and vigilance inspector demanded Rs 50,000 from a person of Baishali district in the name of favouring him in a fabricated case.
Subsequently, on July 28,2008, both accused were arrested while a team of vigilance sleuths were accepting a bribe of Rs 5,000 from a complainant near Patna junction.
