Mumbai, Jul 29 (UNI) Copper and aluminium utensils in ferrous metals category today rose by Rs 100 per quintal each amid lesser stock supply by stockists along with encouraging advice by industrial users, traders at the Bombay Metal Exchange said.

Both the metals, copper utensils and aluminium utensils, after rising by Rs 100 per quintal each, finished at Rs 35,200 and Rs 11,300 per quintal respectively on stock supply by stockists.

However, other three metals like copper heavy, brass utensils and brass cuttings remained flat as there was an ample stock but not enough demand, traders said.

Barring lead ingot, all the non-ferrous metals remained unchanged today.

Lead ingot, which was steady for the last two days, today moved up by Rs 200 to end at Rs 11,200 per quintal owing to better buying support.

Other metals namely copper wire bars, aluminium ingot, zinc slab, tin slab and nickel cathode remained steady on moderate demand, traders added.

Following are the spot metal prices per quintal: Ferrous metals: copper heavy - Rs 37,700, copper utensils - Rs 35,200, brass utensils - Rs 25,100, brass cuttings - Rs 26,600 and aluminium utensils - Rs 11,300.

Non-ferrous metals: copper wire bars - Rs 41,100, aluminium ingots- Rs 14,500, zinc slab - Rs 10,600, lead ingots - Rs 11,200, tin slab - Rs 1,155 per kg and nickel cathode - Rs 1,040 per kg.
