Bal Hriday Suraksha Yojana in Chhattisgarh
Raipur, Jul 29 (UNI) Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Raman Singh has assured that undlimited budget would be provided for treatment of children with heart ailments.
''An unlimited budget will be available for best-possible treatment of kids from poor and economically-weaker sections,'' he said here yesterday while inaugurating the Mukhyamantri Bal Hriday Suraksha Yojana at the Ramakrishna Care Hospital and Escorts Hospital.
A special campaign would be run for the next two years for identifying all such children below 15 years of age. Camps would be set up at block level, the children registered at district hospitals would free treatment and surgery arranged. The campaign would get underway in the first week of next month. The scheme would also be started at Bilaspur's Apollo Hospital and Bhilai's B S R Apollo Hospital.
''A sum of Rs 4 crore has been set aside for the Yojana but additional funds will be made available if needed. Children of Below Poverty Line families will be our foremost priority. The state government has begun this scheme by considering as its social responsibility the treatment of kids of daily wage-earning labourers, small traders and other needy families,'' Dr Singh claimed.
