AIIMS opens sleep related breathing disorders clinic
New Delhi, Jul 29 (UNI) The All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) has started a clinic specially dedicated to treatment of sleep related breathing disorders, an Institute statement said today.
Prof S K Sharma will be in charge of the clinic, which will be open on all working Mondays, it said.
''Many people snore often loudly, while sleeping. They are likely to be suffering from a medical condition called sleep-disordered breathing. It affects the quality of their sleep and leaves a person sleepy during the day. This disorder is related to several other medica disorders such as heart failure and stroke as well,''it said.
