UP Students condemn serial blasts, pay tributes
Lucknow, Jul 28 (UNI) Students of Uttar Pradesh capital today condemned the recent blasts in Bangalore and Ahmedabad and paid tributes to the victims.
The students lit candles as a symbol of dispelling darkness (terrorism) from our lives and prayed for peace of the departed souls, in a special assembly at La Martenier girls College.
The children said the countrymen should maintain unity and try to strengthen their bond and people coming from of all types of faiths should stay together.
The tragedy should provoke a new affirmation of our shared commitment to peace and human dignity.
As representatives of all religions we pray for peace and call on the world leaders to respond to such tragedies by seeking justice, not revenge, they added.
