UP Bar Council downplays terrorist threat
Lucknow, Jul 28 (UNI) Uttar Pradesh Bar Council chairman Amarendra Nath Singh has asked the advocates of the state to keep patience and not to get provoked over the threat given by a terrorist organisation.
Mr Singh in a statement here today asked the advocates to assist the government in maintaining law and order and not take law in their own hands.
''These terrorist organisations always try to provoke the common people to take law in their hands and to create communal tension in the society,'' he alleged.
Earlier, a terrorist organisation in a 16 page e-mail originating from Navi Mumbai had warned UP Bar Council of dire consequences for its repeated stand of not taking up cases of Muslim suspects arrested in terrorist acts.
