Ultra dies in encounter; gunmen kill BPF leader
Kokrajhar, Jul 28 (UNI) A dreaded Kamatapuri ultra was killed in an encounter with the Army at Tirimarighat in Chirang district, while gunmen killed a prominent Bodo leader in the district last night.
According to police the rebel was identified as Umananda Roy.
Some incriminating documents and a weapon were recovered from him, sources added.
Meanwhile, miscreants shot dead Rimal Mushahary, president of the Sapkata Bodo Peoples Front (BPF), at Mutaigaon under Gosaigaon police station.
The slain leader was close to the ruling BPF leadership of the Bodoland Territorial Council (BTC).
