UHBVN augments capacity of Sugar Mill Sonipat sub-station
Chandigarh, July 28 (UNI) In order to ensure reliability of power supply with better voltage, the Uttar Haryana Bijli Vitran Nigam has (UHBVN) augmented the existing capacity of 33 KV sub-station Sugar Mill Sonipat by installing an additional 8 MVA transformer at a cost of Rs 65 lakh.
A spokesman said here today that about 8000 electricity consumers of Jatwara, Bus-stand Guhana Road and Kumharan Gate of Sonipat Town and village Thariya, Chatiya Olia, Jahri, Shahzadpur, Tharu, Sandal Klan and Sandal Khurd would be directly and indirectly benefited by way of continuity of power supply.
He said that the sub-station was already having an 8 MVA transformer. With the energisation of new power transformer the existing capacity of the sub-station has gone up to 16 MVA.
