Chennai, Jul 28 (UNI) Police today busted a terror module with the arrest of two more people, said to be supporters of jailed Jihad Committee Member Ali Abdullah, who were planning to trigger blasts in trains and places of worship in Tamil Nadu.

Official sources said close on the heels of the arrest of fundamentalist Abdul Gafoor late last night, police arrested Md Anwar Basha, an electrician and an expert in making circuits, at Tirunelveli city.

Based on the confessional statements given by Gafoor and Basha, a special team arrested their accomplice Heera in Chennai city.

The trio had planned to trigger series of blasts in Tirunelveli and in places of worship in Tirunelveli and Chennai, besides planting bombs in south-bound trains.

Heera, who is also an expert in making bombs using electronic and timer devices, was being taken to Tirunelveli for interrogation along with Gafoor and Basha.

Senior police officials have rushed to the southern city for further investigations.

Abdullah, lodged in Puzhal Central prison in connection with bomb blasts and murders, was the mastermind behind the conspiracy to trigger blasts in the State on or before August 15.
