PM declares Rs 3.5-lakh compensation for blast victims
Ahmedabad, Jul 28 (UNI) Prime Minister Manmohan Singh today announced a compensation of Rs 3.5 lakhs from the Prime Minister's Relief Fund to families of those killed in the blasts in the city.
This was announced by the Prime Minister after visiting the injured at the Civil Hospital here.
With this, the total compensation for the victims is Rs 9.5 lakhs.
Earlier, Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi had announced a compensation of Rs 5 lakhs from CM relief fund to the families of the dead.
Yesterday, Gujarat Congress had announced compensation of Rs one lakh each to families of the dead.
