Patni Computers launches Rs 175 cr Green IT-BPO at Noida
Mumbai, Jul 28 (UNI) IT and BPO service provider Patni Computer Systems have launched its first Rs 175 crore Green IT Business Processing Outsourcing Centre at Noida.
The 5-acre Patni Knowledge Centre, with a seating capacity of 3,500, was designed and constructed as per the guidelines of LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) India Green Building Rating System for New Construction, announced a release issue here.
The centre boasts a host of environmental friendly features like Climate responsive architecture, Zero discharge building, 100 percent recycling facility of sewage, drip water irrigation, solar water heating and CO2 sensors. Over 50 percent of the area has been designated as ''Green area'', with 95 percent of occupants getting access to outside views.
''The launch of our first Green centre is a significant step in demonstrating the company's commitment to environment conservation,'' Company Chairman and CEO Narendra K Patni said at the inauguration.
The centre is undergoing certification process and is jointly audited by the Indian Green Building Council (IGBC) and US Green Building Council (USGBC), the release added.
