ONGC Q1 net up 43.94% at Rs 6,636.33 cr

New Delhi, Jul 28 (UNI) Oil and Natural Gas Corporation Ltd (ONGC), the country's leading energy explorer, today said it has registered an increase of 43.94 per cent its net profit at Rs 6,636.33 crore for the quarter ended 2008 as compared to Rs 4,610.53 crore during the corresponding period last fiscal.

The company's total income for Q1 FY09 has surged 45.27 per cent to Rs 21,102.22 crore from Rs 14,526.51 crore in Q1 FY08.
