Nepali boy arrested for sending sms on blast

Baripada, Jul 28 (UNI) Police today arrested a 15-year-old Nepali boy for sending an SMS to a private TV channel stating that there would be serial blasts in Kolkata.

Mayurbhanj Superintendent of Police Dayal Gangwar said the boy identified as Dil Bahadur, son of a night watchman engaged in a electricity distribution company, had sent the SMS after watching a TV channel on the serial blasts in Ahmedabad.

The SMS read as ''kaal ratme baar baje kolkata me hoga do dhamaka''( Tomorrow at 1200 hrs in the night there would be two blasts in Kolkata).

The Nepali boy, the SP said had disclosed his identity as Seikh Mujhaudhin as the sender of the SMS.

The Kolkatta police traced the mobile and informed its counterpart in Mayurbhanj. The police raided the house of the night watch man in Bahalada and arreated the boy. Police said the boy has been booked under section 504/505 and 506 of the IPC besides the Juvenile Act and he would be forwarded to the court tomorrow after further interrogation.
