HC orders notice to TNPSC
Chennai, Jul 28 (UNI) Madras High Court today ordered issuance of notice to the Tamil Nadu Public Service Commission (TNPSC) and the State Government as they had fixed the same date for examination to fill up civil judges and Assistant Public Prosecutor (APP) posts.
Mr Justice N Paul Vasanthakumar ordered the notice on a petition filed by Mr Kamalakannan, a practising advocate, seeking relief as the TNPSC had fixed August two and three for the examination to fill up 201 posts of civil judges and UPSC had fixed August three to fill up 38 APP posts.
The petitioner submitted that the UPSC had issued a notification in March, calling for the examination on August three. Subsequently, TNPSC, in its May notification, called for the examination on August two and three.
As many of the candidates would like to appear for both the examinations, the court should direct the TNSPC to change the date of examination, he prayed.
The judge posted the case to July 30 for further hearing.
