Award for Nadaswaram Artiste

Kottayam, July 28 (UNI) Noted Nadaswaram Artiste Thiruvizha Jayasankar has been selected for the first Aranmula Govindan Kutty Memorial Award.

Announcing this here today, Aranmula Govindan Kutty Foundation Officials Meerakrishna, Dr Raju Vallikunnam and G Suresh Kumar said the award comprising cash prize of Rs 10,001, citation and memento would be presented at the Nadopasana Monsoon Fest, to be held here on August ten, by State PWD Minister Mons Joseph.

Aranmula Govindan Kutty was a Thavil expert and recipient of various awards.
