Assembly passes first supplimentary budget for 2008-09
Patna, Jul 28 (UNI) Amid noisy scenes created by the Opposition members, Bihar Assembly today passed the first supplementary budget for the financial year 2008-09 and the related Appropriation Bill-2008 by voice vote.
As soon as the House met during the post-lunch session, the members of CPI (ML) and LJP trooped into the well and started shouting anti- government slogans.
Amid uproarious scenes, Deputy Chief Minister Sushil Kumar Modi tabled the first supplementary for the financial year 2008-09.
The special debate on the first supplementary budget could not be taken up due to the rumpus and the Speaker adjourned the House till 1645 hrs.
When the House reassembled, the Opposition again created noise amid which the first supplementary budget 2008-09 was passed.
