110 kg explosive seized in MP; 2 nabbed
Vidisha, MP, Jul 28 (UNI) About 110 kg explosive, illegally stored in a shop of Ganjbasoda town, have been seized and two people arrested today.
''During interrogation, the duo confessed that they purchased the explosives from Mullah Shaukat Hussain who has a shop in Ganjbasoda's Savarkar Chowk,'' said Superintendent of Police R L Prajapati.
On a tip-off, police earlier raided a battery shop, owned by Kamlesh Raghuvanshi and Mahesh Vishwakarma, at Baret road and seized the explosives used in stone quarries -- 100 kg explosive was raw material and 10 kg finished product.
Hussain, who was detained, claimed that selling sulphur was his ancestral business.
A police team has been formed for further investigation.
