Toll reaches 45 in Ahmedabad blasts
Just in: Reports says that the death toll in Ahmedabad serial blasts climbed to 46.
Ahmedabad, Jul 27: Toll climbed to 39 in the serial blasts that ripped the city of Ahmedabad on Saturday, July 26 evening. Terror struck Ahmedabad when 16 coordinated serial blasts rocked the city on Saturday evening killing 30 people and injuring over 100 sending a wave of panic, a day after serial blasts rocked Bangalore in another BJP-ruled Karnataka. Initial investigations suggest that Ammonium Nitrate was used in the blasts. The investigators are also probing the use of cylinders.
The synchronised ''low-intensity'' explosions rocked 16 crowded areas including market places in the Gujarat capital in a space of 60 to 70 minutes after the first blast hit Maninagar at 6.45 pm. Some of the blast sites were in sensitive areas.
The message given is clear. The target are BJP ruled states. As first terror striked Jaipur in BJP ruled Rajasthan, then Karnataka, now Ahmedabad, the capital of Gujarat.
