Sonia ''blackmailed'' nation over nuke deal-Naqvi
Patna, Jul 27 (UNI) BJP national vice president Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi today alleged that Congress president Sonia Gandhi had ''blackmailed'' the nation over the proposed nuke deal and announced that the party would expose it.
Addressing a party function organised here to expose the ''corruption at the Centre and use of black money to save the government'', Mr Naqvi said the Rs 600-crore deal had been made for survival of the UPA government only for another six months.
He said, ''Sonia Gandhi and Prime Minister Manmohan Singh in fact blackmailed the country by saying that all problems would be sorted out once the deal was inked.'' He also said the BJP would launch a mission to sensitise the people and 'expose' the actual face of the UPA.
''The Centre compromised with the separatist and disruptive forces and terrorists,'' he said, adding the country was facing the consequences of such acts in form of terror strikes in Ahmedabad and Bangalore.
He alleged that those involved in the deal to save the UPA government were now exerting pressure for ministerial berths in the UPA government.
