Six gun dealers arrested, arms recovered

Bhagalpur, Jul 27 (UNI) Police today nabbed six inter-state arms dealers from the Kadama crossing near here and recovered a cache of arms.

District Superintendent of Police B K Chowdhury said acting on a tip-off, a team of special police force intercepted a vehicle at the crossing and arrested the notorious gang, including its leader Sitaram.

The miscreants, who hailed from Munger, were on their way to Godda in neighbouring Jharkhand to deliver a consignment of arms and ammunition to suspected ultras there.

The police recovered two revolvers and seven live cartridges among others. The vehicle was also seized.
