Live bombs found in Modi's constituency in Ahmedabad

Ahmedabad, Jul 27 (UNI) Barely 13 hours after the serial blasts in the city, police found several live bombs in a garbage container in Hatkeshwar locality of Maninagar, the constituency of Chief Minister Narendra Modi, sparking off panic in the area this morning.

A bomb disposal squad, along with a team of FSL experts and sniffer dogs, rushed to the spot to defuse the live bombs, police said.

Though the exact number of bombs found at the spot were not yet confirmed, local police cordoned off the area to prevent any untoward incident.

Meanwhile, the bomb disposal squad recovered and defused another bomb found from Ramol area in Amraiwadi area of the city late last night. The bomb was fitted with a timer and was set to explode at midnight.

Four live bombs were also recovered and defused by the bomb disposal squad from the sensitive Khadia area in the walled city late last night.

Police also recovered a package of containing 500 gms RDX in Gandhinagar.

In Kalol town in Gandhinagar, another bomb was also found after midnight.
