Karat calls for cracking down on terrorists

Kolkata, Jul 27(UNI) Reacting to the serial blasts in Ahmedabad and elsewhere in the country, CPI(M) General Secretary Prakash Karat today said government security and intelligence agencies should crack down on the terrorist groups, responsible for such attacks.

''The whole country is worried. We would like to see that the Government security and intelligence agencies take all steps to crack down on the terrorist elements and groups behind it,'' he told reporters at the end of the party's two-day West Bengal state committee meeting.

''Our sympathy is for all those who lost their loved ones in the blast,'' Mr.Karat said.
