Guj blasts have Jaipur, Varanasi pattern: Expert

Ahmedabad, Jul 27 (UNI) The 20 bomb explosions that rocked the city by claiming 45 lives and unexploded bombs found in several other cities have been made and planted on similar patterns of Jaipur and Varanasi blasts, an FSL expert said here today.

Talking on condition of anonymity, the FSL expert told UNI that preliminary inspections of these bombs revealed that they were made and planted in similar fashions adopted by militants in Jaipur and Varanasi blasts.

He pointed out that the bomb, which was found at Hatkeshwar locality in Maninagar area, the constituency of Chief Minister Narendra Modi, and successfully defused by bomb disposal squad, was as powerful as the one that exploded at Civil Hospital late last night claiming maximum human lives.

The bombs were made with a specific intention to harm maximum people in vicinity of the explosion as they (bombs) were dumped with large quantity of splinters, nails and pins which gets blown when they explode, he said.

The use of timer devices and circuits in the bombs clearly indicate that they were made by people with indepth knowledge and expertise in making explosives, the expert added.
