AP CM pays tributes to Brahamananda Reddy
Hyderabad, Jul 27 (UNI) Andhra Pradesh chief minister Y S Rajasekhara Reddy today paid tributes to former Chief Minister Kasu Brahmananda Reddy on his 99th birthday tomorrow.
In a message here, Dr Reddy recalled the services of Brahmananda Reddy, as a freedom fighter and Parliamentarian.
The Chief Minister said as a staunch Gandhian, ever since his adoloscent days, Mr Brahmananda, vowed to wear khadi and remained as a vegetarian throughout his life. He later left his lucrative practice as an eminent lawyer and plunged into freedom movement with the spirit of nationalism, he added.
Mr Brahmananda, believed in agriculture, socio-economic issues and primary education, as key factors for prosperity, he added.
