Agriculture officials to be allowed to attend Mandal meetings

Hyderabad, Jul 27 (UNI) Andhra Pradesh Chief minister Y S Rajasekhara Reddy today said the Government would take steps to provide an opportunity to the agriculture and Andhra Pradesh State Co-operative Marketing Federation Ltd (Markfed) officials to attend the meetings being held in all Mandal Parishads regularly in future.

Participating in golden jubilee concluding celebrations of AP Markfed here, Dr Reddy said the Government was committed to strengthen the Marketing Federations, which were playing an important role in procuring agriculture produce from the farmers.

On the occasion, the Chief Minister unveiled foundation stone for the construction of Golden Jubilee Bhavan for the Marketing Federation.

State Cooperative Minister Mohd Fariduddin and Agriculture Minister N Raghuveera Reddy, were among others, who participated in the programme.
